Gas Sauna Heaters

Sauna gas heaters are widely used for saunas that are in constant use such as those in a spa or gym. A gas fired sauna heater may also be a great option for your home sauna. If you already heat you home with natural gas and running a gas line to your sauna would not be problematic then it makes sense to use a gas sauna heater.

Although a a gas or propane powered sauna heater may cost more initially, it will pay for itself over and over again in energy savings and convenience. The choice between natural gas or propane may depend on what is available in your area as well as what is easy to install, for a constant use sauna though this type of heater could be the best solution.

Installation of a gas sauna heater should be no more difficult then electric heaters, so long as the gas line is accessible. Gas Heaters can be vented through the wall of the sauna to an outside wall.

Gas or propane fired sauna heaters are equally safe as the more common electric heater. Double or even triple wall construction to keep surface temperatures low and to prevent accidental burns and reduces accidental fires. Generally the control panel has a thermostat and a 60 minute timer to prevent the sauna from being accidentally left on. These heaters are suitable for home and commercial use and have a large rock capacity so users can pour as much water onto the sauna rocks as necessary to produce steam.
